Challenge Day 8

This picture makes me crack up laughing. When we made Easter eggs for the kids this one cracked and "leaked" out while being boiled. Whenever I took it out I instantly saw a funny face, so I used a clear wax crayon and dunked it in blue. hahaha  Voila! A beautiful little egg that is sticking it's tongue out!  hahahahahaha

Challenge Day 7

My most treasured items would have to be our wedding rings.

Our rings are on our fingers to remind each other of the promise we made to stay together for better or for worse, whether rich or poor, and through sickness and in health.
They are a promise to our children that we will stay united, that we will fight with each other, not against each other, and that we will always try no matter how hard life gets.

Challenge Day 6

I would not trade places with anyone ever. I love being me. Granted there are things that I would like to change, but don't we all?! There is not a single person that has a perfect life or perfect family. We are all unique and should embrace that fact.

If I was to trade places with anyone it would have to be myself.

Challenge Day 5

Okay, I know that day 5 and 6 are late, however, it was the beginning of a new year. So I am going to put them all up today. :o)

Challenge Day 5

These are my favorite memories. The first time I held each of my children. I can remember when they were placed in my arms and how amazing it felt.

With my first child, my son Blake, I was in total shock. I could not believe this 8 lb 5 oz bundle of cuteness had just come out of my belly. He was mine and I created him. I remember feeling his soft skin and just wanting to hurry up and make sure he had all of his fingers and toes. But I wasn't able to before being whisked away into another room. Once in the new room I just stared at my baby. He was so alert and looking at everything. My sweet little handsome.

My second child, my daughter Brianna, amazed me. When she came out weighing a whopping 8 lb 10 oz I just couldn't take my eyes off of her. I wanted to hear that beautiful cry of her first breath, I just begged her to keep crying until I could hold her so that I knew she was ok. After all, I had been in labor with her for almost 3 weeks on bed rest. I wanted to make sure she had not been affected by that. When they placed her in my arms I cried, I just fell so in love with this beautiful little girl. She and I held each others gaze and tuned out everyone else for quite awhile.

These two, my babies, are my entire world. They have grown up so much since these pictures. But just looking at these pictures takes me right back to those first precious moments with them.

Challenge Day 4

I wish I didn't curse so much. I have a potty mouth and I know it. I don't really mean too, it is just a part of my daily language. I think it is because I grew up in a family of non-cussers (or so I thought), that were really just not wanting me to hear it. I got in so much trouble the first time my parents heard me say shit. It was so ridiculous. After that day, I learned I could cuss all the time as long as they never heard it. As an adult, I could care less (Really, I could give a rats ass but hey I'm trying! haha).

Maybe one day I will change my ways, but I highly doubt it.

Challenge Day 3

At the moment this is my favorite cast. I really enjoy getting lost watching Once Upon A Time on ABC. This show brings the more realistic side of those beloved fairy tales to light. It also links them all together in an interesting way. I would imagine beyond the "pictures" their normal everyday lives were probably a lot like this show portrays.

Everything is not as it seems in a photograph.

Challenge Day 2

This is a friend who I have known since I was in 7th grade.

It was my first year of PUBLIC school and I decided to join band. Well, as fate would have it, some of the best friends I have been blessed to have in my life I met in band. We were all awkward adolescents trying to figure out life and how to fit in.

Brandy and I just clicked. She made me laugh and would act silly with me. She would rock out to Spice Girls while dressed up to boot. Oh yeah, this is a  lifetime long type of friendship.

We have been there by each others sides since we were those awkward teens. We became adults and married each other off, we have stood there for each other at the birth of our children. We have shared in the grief of lost friends and family members. We know each other well.

You see Brandy, or as I call her- Bean, and I were born only 20 short days apart. We have the same birth month. haha. We have always just understood each other. Even if we don't talk for a while its ok. We know that if the call is made it will be answered. We don't have to worry about this friendship, it has survived some crazy storms and some amazing joys.

So to one of the most beautiful women I know, Thank you for being my sister. I love you. :o)
